Georgia Veterans Fund

Dear Members,

The Georgia Veterans Fund is a collaborative project led by the Department Commander, the Detachment SAL Commander, the Department Auxiliary President, and the Legion Riders State Director. Our goal is to raise at least $50,000 to support Georgia Veterans receiving care in VA hospitals and clinics. Please note that these funds are distinct from the Medical Research fund and are used specifically for veteran support.

While Congress provides appropriated funding for VA operations, many items fall outside of that budget. The Georgia Veterans Fund aims to fill this gap by addressing "Wish List" requests from VA facilities. These items include comfort and recreational goods such as ice cream socials, pizza parties, games, puzzles, books, electronics, and furniture replacements. We will present checks to VA representatives at the Department Convention to meet as many of these needs as possible.

These contributions are only possible through your generosity. To contribute via the ALR State Director, you may bring your donation to any Conference or Convention ALR meeting, or mail it to our DOG ALR Treasurer at:  129 Brandi Dr; Hiram, GA 30141

Please make checks payable to “DOG ALR” and include “Georgia Veterans Fund” in the memo section.
